The monastery in Komańcza is situated in the lower part of the vil- lage, next to the exit to Rzepedź. It was established in the diocese of Przemyśl as the House of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, with its headquarters in Rome.
In the years 1955-1956, the Polish Primate Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński was interned here by the authorities of the Polish People’s Republic. To commemorate this fact, the monastery has the Memorial Room, where numerous souvenirs of Cardinal’s stay are displayed. Also, there is the so called Primate Way – a path which he followed during his walks.
