The narrow gauge railway in the Bieszczady mountains

The narrow gauge railway in the Bieszczady mountains, with tracks only 750 mm wide, is the highest located narrow gauge railway in Poland.

It was constructed at the close of the 19th c. as Nowy Łupków – Cisna railway, and was used to transport timber and passengers until 1994. Since 1997, the railway has operated as a tourist attraction, mainly in the summer season.
