The farm was set up under the project called „In situ protection of bison in Poland – southern part”, cofinansed by the European Union and the National Fund of Environmental Protection and Water Resources Management. Now, the farm continues bison breeding in the Bieszczady, which was initiated in 1963. From a special platform, visitors can see the so called mountain bisons (bison bonasus caucasicus) which come from Switzerland and France.The farm has an environmental educational role and is one of the greatest tourist attractions in the region.
